Founder and Managing Director, Chris is one of Scotland’s leading independent producers. A Scottish Film trainee he took a Diploma in Film Production at New York University before turning producer and setting up Young Films in 1986.

Julie is an artist working in a variety of media (sculpture, photography, film and drawing) always with a strong connection with the landscape and wilderness.
Iain is our non-executive finance director. He has had long experience in professional practice, in education finance and in the publishing industry. As well as his role with Young Films group businesses he continues to provide finance and business advice to a number of Third Sector organisations.
Previously a director at the Royal Opera House in London, Patrick is the founder and Artistic Director of OPRA Cymru, the world’s only Welsh-language opera company. In the eight years since its founding OPRA Cymru has created and produced Welsh versions of six operatic classics, including Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Verdi’s Macbeth.
Sarah Jane Campbell
HEAD OF PRODUCTION
Sarah Jane was first on board when the company relocated to Skye in 2013. Although experienced in TV production she had never worked in drama. Eight years on she is now Bannan’s main producer and during filming also doubles as 2nd AD.
HEAD OF ACCOUNTS
Alison joined the team in June 2015 as our accounts administrator and now also works as Production Manager as Bannan.
Laura is one of two main writers on Bannan. She first joined the company from BBC ALBA on a 6-week placement while filming the Bannan pilot in 2013. She started as Assistant Script Supervisor and eight years later is a key writer for Young Films.
Kirsty joined the company in December 2020 working as Development Coordinator for the YFF 21 Skye Screenwriters Residency Programme and managing Young Films' development slate. She has previous experience of working within the screen industry in the UK, Denmark and New Zealand across various roles in production, talent management and major film festivals.
